Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess:
- Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA, or First Class as defined by the awarding institution/university.
- The applicant must have passed the MLIS examination during 2023–2025 only.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in library operations.
Desirable Qualification
- Basic knowledge of IT and IT applications related to library services.
Age Limit
The maximum age limit is 28 years for all candidates.

Salary / Remuneration
Selected candidates will receive consolidated remuneration of:
₹22,000 per month
The engagement will initially be for one year, with the possibility of extension depending on satisfactory performance and the functional requirements of the Institute. (IIITK Files)

Working Conditions
Selected Library Trainees will be required to work six days a week.
Duties may cover:
- Morning shifts
- Evening shifts
- Night shifts
