IIT Gandhinagar Jobs 2020-21: Proven 5 Library Trainee Posts
The Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) Library is looking for young, dynamic, tech-savvy, highly motivated and committed FRESH Post-Graduates in Library & Information Science from recognized Indian universities with consistently good academic record, to serve as Library Professional Trainee purely on a the temporary basis for six months to one year. Persons having good communication and interpersonal skills with enthusiasm to learn new skills and deliver services using emerging new tools and technology will be preferred.IIT Gandhinagar Jobs 2020-21: Proven 5 Library Trainee Posts
Essential Qualifications: Masters in Library & Information Science (M.L.I.Sc.) or equivalent with First Class Nature of Traineeship: Learn while you work on different functions & services of the library.
Duration: The duration of traineeship will be for six months to one year from the date of joining depending on requirement.
IIT Gandhinagar Jobs 2020-21: Proven 5 Library Trainee Posts
Remuneration: Consolidated stipend of Rs. 22,000/- per month.
The selected candidates will work from Monday-Saturday (six days a week) and be ready to work in different shifts and weekends on a rotation basis.
Selection of candidates will be based on their consistent good academic record, performance in the written test and personal interview.
Number of Trainees to be admitted: FIVE
IIT Gandhinagar Jobs 2020-21: Proven 5 Library Trainee Posts
Age Limit: Not exceeding 26 years as 1st December 2020 (the last for submitting an application). Relaxation for SC, ST and PD category candidates (up to Age Limit-31 years) and OBC category (up to Age Limit-29 years) will be applicable as per Govt. of India rules.
Interested candidates who meet the above-mentioned requirements may send their application through the ONLINE form on or before 1st December 2020 along with a scanned copy of all required documents. The candidates shortlisted will be called to appear for an Online Written Test. The written test will be in English.
The dates for the written test will be announced in due course of time. Based on the performance in the written test, candidates will be called for a Virtual Interview. Candidates are requested to send one set of scanned copies of all relevant certificates in support of date of birth, qualifications, category, etc. along with an application form as ONE FILE. Candidates who have passed in their final year M.L.I. Sc. examination should only apply and must submit a copy of the marks card in proof of having passed the examination with FIRST CLASS without which the candidate will not be shortlisted for the written test.
