IIT (BHU) Recruitment 2026: Junior Library Assistant – 02 Vacancies

Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess any one of the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Library & Information Science with 55% marks, OR
- Diploma in Library & Information Science with 55% marks along with a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline, OR
- Two-year degree in M.Lib. & Info. Sc. (Integrated) with 55% marks.
Desirable Qualification
Hands-on experience in Computer Applications in a Library of repute is desirable.
Age Limit
The upper age limit for the Junior Library Assistant post is:
30 years
The age will be calculated as on the last date of submission of the online application.
Age relaxation will be applicable as per Government of India norms.

Important Instructions
- Candidates must ensure that they fulfil the prescribed eligibility criteria before applying.
- The information entered in the online application should be correct because no correction/modification will be permitted after submission.
- Candidates serving in Government/Semi-Government Organisations, Autonomous Bodies or Educational Institutions must upload the required NOC and Vigilance Clearance, where applicable.
- SC/ST/OBC candidates must produce the prescribed caste certificate according to Government of India rules.
- OBC candidates applying against an OBC reserved post must submit a valid Non-Creamy Layer certificate as prescribed.
- The Institute follows the Central List for SC/ST/OBC reservation.

Selection Process
The Institute will screen applications based on the information submitted by candidates. Mere eligibility does not guarantee being called for the selection process.
The Institute may apply additional shortlisting criteria depending upon the number of applications received. The selection process may include a Screening Test/Written Test/Presentation/Group Discussion/Personal Interview, as applicable.
