Qualifications:
- Educational Qualifications:
- A Master’s degree in Library Science, Information Science, or Documentation Science or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale, wherever the grading system is followed).
- A consistently good academic record, with knowledge of computerization of a Library.
- Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC/CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET, or should have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree as per UGC regulations.
- For candidates who registered for a Ph.D. Degree before July 11, 2009, the provisions of the then existing ordinance apply (refer to the full notice).
- Experience Qualifications:
- Should have a minimum of two years of relevant working experience in a fully Automated/Digital Library System in any State Govt./Central Government Institute of National Importance in Higher Education.
