Essential Qualifications & Experience
  • A renowned scholar in Arabic, Persian, Urdu, Hindi, Sanskrit, Islamic Studies, or Medieval Indian History.
  • Master’s degree in any of the above disciplines from a recognized University or Institute.
  • Published at least 5 books or 10 research papers.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Teaching, Research, or Administration in a comparable library or educational institution.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Degree/Diploma in Library Science or Library and Information Science, Computer Science, or Data Processing from a recognized institution.
  • Ph.D. in any of the subjects mentioned under Essential Qualifications.
Age Limit
  • Age limit for deputation (including short-term contract) shall not exceed 56 years.
  • Maximum permissible age for holding the post is 60 years.
SalaryRs. 1,44,200 – Rs. 2,18,200/- with usual allowances
Term of AppointmentDeputation (including short-term contract) for three years, extendable up to seven years with approval.
