Essential qualifications: Age and qualification:
The minimum educational qualification of the candidate shall be (1) at least 2nd class Master degree in Library and Information Science of a recognized University with knowledge of computer application.
OR
At least 2nd class Master’s degree or equivalent CGPA in Arts/ Science/ Commerce/ Agriculture/ Veterinary Science/ Home Science
with at least 2nd class Bachelor degree in Library Information Science from a recognized University. UGC
a. Bachelor degree in any field of study
b. Master’s degree in Library and information Science of a recognized University with at least 55% marks or its equivalent
grade of B (Grade Point 3.50-4.49) in UGC seven point scale.
c. 5 years service experience as Assistant Librarian (senior scale, with AGP of Rs. 7000)/ Documentation Officer in a University
Library or 15 years of professional experience in a University Library system.
d. Evidence of initiative and ability to plan, organize, administer in a library
e. A minimum score as stipulated in the ‘Academic PerformaneIndicator’ (API) Score Card Guideline prescribed for Direct Recruitment of Library Professional Staff in AAU to be called for interview.
Desirable Qualification:
1. M.Phil./Ph.D degree in Library Science/ Information Science/ Documentation/ Archives and Manuscript keeping/ Computerization
of Library.
2. Experience of modern retrieval and reprographic techniques.
3. Experience of teaching and /or handling needs of post graduate student/ research workers.
4. Working experience under educational institution
