Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualifications:
- Graduate of a recognized university with Bachelor’s degree in Library/ Information Science.
- 5 years of experience of dealing, preferably with Children’s literature, in a reputed library (relaxable to 3 years for candidates possessing Master’s degree in Library and Information Science).
- Knowledge of modern techniques of documentation & retrieval of information.
- Incumbents holding analogous posts on a regular basis.
- Or with 5 years of regular service in posts in the Pay Matrix of Rs. 25400-112400, Level-6, or equivalent, and possessing the educational qualifications mentioned above.
Deputation Details
The eligible departmental candidates can also apply for deputation. If selected, the candidate will be appointed on a fixed tenure of three years, extendable by a maximum of one year.

How to apply
The application duly completed in all respects should reach the Deputy Director (Establishment), National Book Trust, India, Nehru Bhawan, 5, Institutional Area, Phase-ll, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi -110 070 within 30 days from the date of publication of this advertisement in the Employment News and other daily newspapers along with a Demand Draft for Rs. 500/- (non-refundable) (no fee for SC/ST/PWD, ExServiceman and EWS (UR) category) in favour of National Book Trust, India payable at New Delhi. The Demand Draft should not be drawn before the date of issue of this advertisement. Candidates must write their names and the post applied for on the reverse of the Bank Draft.
Candidates shall have to produce original documents at the time of test/ interview for verification
Probation period for all regular positions is 2 (two) years
