| Qualification | – Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of second class. – Masters in Library and Information Science (MLISc) or equivalent, passed out in 2024 or 2025 with first class. |
| (a) Traineeship provides an opportunity to learn while working on different functions & services of the library using emerging tools and technologies. Assist in acquisition of content (print & digital), classification, cataloguing, circulation, reference services, document delivery, and research support. (b) Selected trainees are expected to work 6 days a week in any of the three shifts, including night shift duties and public holidays. |
| Duration | Purely temporary, contract basis for 2 years. Prior IISc service (if any) will be counted in maximum permissible tenure. Extension up to 10% increment admissible based on performance and recommendation of competent authority. |
