FSSAI Chairperson Vacancy 2026

Eligibility Criteria

• Persons of eminence in the field of Food Science or persons from Administration who have been associated with the subject.
• Either holding or have held a position not below the rank of Secretary to the Government of India.
• Relevant work experience related to Central/State Regulatory Bodies (desirable).
• Citizens of India.

Age Limit

• Maximum Age: 65 years.
• Tenure of 3 years from date of entry, re-appointment eligible for further 3 years or till age 65, whichever is earlier.

Salary/ Stipend

• Fixed Monthly Pay: Rs. 2,25,000/-
• Allowances: As per DoPT guidelines
