Educational Qualification
Essential Qualification
Candidates should possess a Master’s degree in Library Science, Information Science or Documentation, with at least 55% marks.
In addition, candidates should have:
- 13 years of experience as a Deputy Librarian, or
- 18 years of experience as a College Librarian.
Candidates should also have demonstrated evidence of innovative library services and published work.
Alternative Eligibility
A Deputy Librarian with three years of service in the Academic Grade Pay (AGP) of ₹9,000 may also be eligible, subject to the applicable UGC Regulations, 2010, including the relevant API/PBAS requirements, along with a Ph.D.
Desirable Qualification
An M.Phil. or Ph.D. in a relevant field is desirable.
