| Essential Qualification | Master’s Degree in Library Science or Library & Information Science from a recognised University or Institute. |
| Experience | Minimum 5 years professional experience in a library under Central/State Government, UT Administration, Autonomous/Statutory Organisation, PSU, University or recognised Research/Educational Institution. |
| Desirable Qualification | Diploma in Computer Application from a recognised University or Institute. |
| Desirable Experience | One year experience in computerising library activities in an eligible organisation. |
| Age Limit | Maximum 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications. |
| Deputation Period | Ordinarily not exceeding 4 years. |
