📚 Roles & Responsibilities
Library Management & Operations
- Assist in cataloguing, classification, and indexing of books and documents.
- Maintain accession registers and library records.
- Support circulation services (issue/return of books).
- Ensure proper shelving and organization of library materials.
Digital Library & Data Management
- Assist in digitization of documents and records.
- Maintain and update e-library systems and databases.
- Manage metadata entry and digital archives.
- Support implementation and maintenance of library software.
Documentation & Knowledge Management
- Maintain reports, publications, and official documents.
- Develop knowledge repositories and document databases.
- Assist in preparing newsletters, bulletins, and reports.
- Coordinate with various sections for information and documentation needs.
🎓 Essential Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Library and Information Science (B.Lib.I.Sc.).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in library management, digital libraries, or institutional repositories.
✅ Desirable Qualifications
- Knowledge of library software such as Koha and DSpace.
- Familiarity with digital libraries, e-resources, and database management.
- Experience in cataloguing, classification, and documentation work.
- Good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
