- Retired/working Professors may also apply for eligible posts.
- Any candidate can be appointed against any unfilled vacant reserved category post for 44 days with provision of possible extension.
- Contract period: Initially 1 year, extendable up to 3 years (renewed yearly based on satisfactory performance) or attainment of 70 years of age or till joining of regular incumbent, whichever is earlier.
- Contractual engagement may be terminated from either side with one-month prior notice. In case of staff resignation, one month’s salary is to be deposited to ESI Account.
- Security Deposit: Rs. 1,00,000/- (DD) at the time of joining (forfeited if candidate resigns within 6 months). For 44-day tenure: Rs. 50,000/- (forfeited if candidate resigns during 44-day tenure).
- Faculty entitled to 2.5 leaves/month.
- No PF, pension, gratuity, medical allowance, medical benefits, or seniority promotion benefits.
- Absence beyond 7 days without permission amounts to voluntary abandonment and automatic termination.
- Attendance to be marked manually and on Aadhar Enabled Bio-metric Attendance System (AEBAS) daily.
- No private practice allowed after joining.
- All candidates must have updated Medical Registration (NMC/Punjab Medical Council).
- Candidates working in Govt./Autonomous/Statutory Institutions should preferably have NOC at the time of interview.
- Vacancies are provisional and may increase or decrease as per actual requirement.
- Candidates with eligibility for a higher post may be interviewed against a lower post as per ESIC Hqrs. Memorandum.
