🎓 Essential Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
- Master’s Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade.
- Ph.D. in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation with a consistently good academic record.
💼 Experience Required
- Minimum 15 years of professional experience in a recognized academic, research, or institutional library.
- Experience should include:
- At least 5 years as Deputy Librarian or an equivalent position, OR
- 10 years in a senior professional library position with leadership responsibilities.
- Proven experience in:
- Library administration and strategic planning
- Digital library services and institutional repositories
- E-resource management and library automation
- Collection development and research support
- Budgeting, procurement, and vendor management
- Leadership and team management
📚 Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all library operations.
- Develop modern library services aligned with teaching, learning, and research.
- Oversee digital library initiatives and institutional repositories.
- Manage print and electronic resources.
- Introduce innovative information services and emerging technologies.
- Supervise library staff and ensure efficient service delivery.
- Formulate library policies and strategic development plans.
💰 Salary
- CTC: Approximately ₹14.72 Lakhs per annum (as per Institute norms).
