| Job Description | |
| The company requires one young, enthusiastic, dynamic, tech-savvy, and committed Library Professional with not more than 30 years of age, from a recognized university, to serve as a “Library Professional Assistant” with the following qualifications and experience: | |
| Essential Qualification | |
| 1. | Any Bachelor’s Degree (preference will be given to Bachelor’s in Science) and Master’s in Library & Information Science (MLISc) or equivalent with a consistent good academic and conduct record. |
| Experience | |
| 1. | Sound working knowledge of IT and digital applications, with one year of experience in a fully automated library (preferably with Koha and DSpace). |
| 2. | Good communication skills in writing and speaking English are desired. |
| Additional Preference | |
| 1. | Candidates with a graduation or post-graduation in Computer Science along with MLISc will be given preference and will be exempted from the one-year experience requirement. |
| Job Conditions | |
| 1. | Selected candidates will be required to attend duty round the clock in three shifts, six days a week, including holidays/Sundays. |
| 2. | Accommodation will not be provided by the company. |
| 3. | The candidate must be willing to work night shifts, as the IISER Mohali Library is open 24/7. |
| Nature of Job | |
| The Library Professional Assistant will work in different sections of the library, learning and managing modern library management systems, digital technologies, web-based systems, services, and emerging IT tools and technologies. | |
| Salary | |
| Rs. 22412 ( including EPF& ESI ) approximately. | |
