The Higher Department of Education, Government of Punjab provides education for undergraduate and post-graduate levels in various disciplines through quite 350 Colleges functioning under the supervision and therefore the guidance of the Education Minister & Principal Secretary Education, Government of Punjab.The state features a large network of schools which has been necessary over a period of your time counting on the requirements. Colleges in Punjab have relatively higher enrolment per college than the all India level. the speed of participation of girls is comparatively better in Punjab as compared to other states. the topic-wise distribution of scholars reveals that in Punjab majority of scholars are pursuing studies within the faculty of Arts (63.03 percent) followed by the school of Science (12.13 percent) then the school of Commerce (11.26 percent). Undergraduate students in Punjab account for an outsized proportion i.e. 90 percent. a really small proportion of scholars are enrolled for post-graduation (7.79 percent) and research(0.16 percent)
