The Librarian is expected to actively participate in the consortium, raise issues that are pertinent to MIMIC Library with the consortium and ensure that Institutes interest is saved while working with consortium.

Competent authority may relax the age and experience in deserving cases.

Print, however, still remains an important part of the collection.

The Librarian must be able to understand and identify emerging technologies that can enhance the performance and service quality, prioritize technologies vis- a- vis programs of the library, select and implement such technologies.

Candidates shortlisted for personal interview would be paid to and fro AC I tier train fare as travelling allowance.

S/he will be responsible for evaluation of these developments and initiate new programs in the library.

Desired Candidate Profile

Must have the zeal to learn the latest technologies and apply the same to the existing activities of the library.

Knowledge of the educational sector.

A post-Graduate degree/diploma in Computer Applications such as MADCAP /LAPLAND from a university or equivalent institute will be an added advantage;.

Excellent interpersonal and strong communication skills

Conversant with usage of computers.
